I can’t say when things actually started heading in this direction. What I do know is our family have been mentoring individuals for as long as I can remember. It could be farm hands, or day laborers who just needed that little bit extra amount of TLC. We would invite them out for lunch, or to our homes for dinner, whatever it took.

As this became something we wanted to grow, we began to reach out to organizations to help. However it never really went very far. How do you secure funding for a program that doesn’t have measurable tangible results. How can you measure how much a cup of coffee or a good meal and conversation helps the soul of another hurting individual?

As time went by, we also heard a very common trend: Lack of money. If someone has no money for gas they can’t meet you, let alone get to work. If they have no money for therapy, how can they get professional help?

As we ruminated with ideas, we came up with the idea of a trade school. Weird concept, we know. How does teaching someone a trade relate to connection, and emotional support? How does this alleviate the source of that individuals need? It doesn’t. Yet it does provide a catalyst for growth, and an opportunity to see self induced change. Eventually this leads to a better job, more money, more opportunities to aid themselves and others around if they so choose. The other side of this is tangible, measurable results of success.

When working with us, each individual not only has a pathway to a new career, but also resume guidance, interview practice, and placement assistance. While this program is not a mentorship program, it is an opportunity to create self sustaining individuals. The cost is expensive, but in 10 weeks we hope to see how quality, concise education, can create resources for success.

Who is this program for?
This program is best suited for individuals who want a career. They are motivated to work hard and may attend Trade Tech Center to get started on their life in a few short months, without breaking the bank.

What are we asking for?
We are asking for your organization to help fund individuals through our program, and to help us find these special individuals. We can’t wait for them to become excited about adding value to their daily life.
